Product Specialist Eye Care

The product specialist provides technical support to the Canon Eyecare dealer organization in EMEA.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Troubleshooting and technical support to the dealer organization for complex technical issues on the different models of Eyecare equipment;
  • IT network support for customers on installation, maintenance and analysing log files;
  • Responsible for collecting and transferring technical knowledge and communicating this information and experiences to the service operation within the dealer organization;
  • Pro-actively improve owns knowledge and skills in order to keep up with the product specifics and product developments, (e.g. attend training courses in Japan, but also by self-study);
  • Prepare training materials and give training courses to service colleagues from the dealer organizations;
  • Supporting the introduction of new products;
  • Co-ordinating / executing projects;
  • Maintain QA processes.


Skills and Competences

  • HBO level by education or relevant work experience;
  • Electronics / mechatronics background;
  • Several years of experience with similar function is a pre;
  • Willing to travel occasionally in order to support the dealer organization to solve specific technical issues on site;
  • Able to follow administrative processes precisely;
  • Able to work independently as well as being part of a team;
  • Inventiveness, resistant to stress and analytical abilities to solve complex and urgent problems;
  • Oral and written proficiency in English to be able to conduct training courses and to exchange information with the Japanese support team and the dealer organizations.
