The role

As European Clinical Scientist Ultrasound, you are the scientific expert within the Ultrasound Business Unit, translating clinical  evidence, scientific insights and emerging healthcare trends into strategic recommendations for future product development, clinical  innovation and business strategy. You collaborate with leading clinicians, academic institutions and key opinion leaders to strengthen  Canon Medical's clinical reputation and support the development of innovative ultrasound solutions.

What will you do?

  • Establish long-term scientific collaborations with leading clinicians, academic institutions and key opinion leaders to generate high-quality clinical evidence and peer-reviewed publications. 
  • Continuously monitor scientific literature, clinical practice and emerging healthcare technologies to identify unmet clinical needs and future opportunities for innovation. 
  • Translate scientific evidence and clinical insights into evidence-based recommendations for Product Management and R&D, influencing future ultrasound technologies and clinical applications. 
  • Support new product introductions through clinical evidence generation, scientific messaging and collaboration with clinical experts across Europe. 
  • Represent Canon Medical as a scientific thought leader by presenting at international congresses, symposia and scientific meetings. 
  • Develop and deliver scientific education programs that strengthen the clinical expertise of Clinical Specialists, Sales teams and healthcare professionals across Europe. 

What do you bring?

  • An advanced degree in Medical Imaging, Biomedical Sciences or a related field. 
  • The ability to identify unmet clinical needs and lead the development of research strategies that drive product innovation and customer value, supported by a deep understanding of ultrasound applications, clinical practice and emerging healthcare trends. 
  • Demonstrated track record of generating clinical evidence through research, scientific publications and leading strategic collaborations with healthcare professionals, academic institutions and key opinion leaders. 
  • Strong analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset, synthesizing scientific, clinical, technological and healthcare insights into practical business recommendations. 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English. 
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to critically evaluate and synthesize diverse perspectives and evidence to influence stakeholders across an international organization. 
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.
