Abstract: Carpal tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is the most frequent compressive neuropathy. High frequent ultrasonography can reliably depict the actual architecture of peripheral nerves and especially of the median nerve: US-morphological features as well as measurements defining a carpal tunnel syndrome will be presented with examples of normal and pathological findings.
