Discover More About the Expert
Dr. Jan Verwerft is a cardiologist who received his training at KU Leuven. He completed his residency at OLV Aalst and AZ Delta Roeselare, followed by a fellowship in heart failure at Thorax Center Rotterdam. Currently, he is employed at the Heart Center Hasselt Jessa Hospital, where he provides comprehensive care to patients suffering from heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and valvular heart disease.
Dr. Verwerft has extensive experience in evaluating patients in a specialized dyspnea clinic that utilizes exercise echocardiography and simultaneous pulmonary gas analysis. This setup enables the introduction of exercise physiology at the bedside.
