European Design & DTP Specialist

Are you the detail-oriented professional we’re looking for? In this hands-on role, you’ll handle design, layout, and typesetting to produce high-quality materials for print and digital, always aligned with our brand guidelines. You'll manage the WIDEN DAM system for efficient asset access and provide day-to-day design support to our global network, ensuring smooth operations and consistent delivery.

What will you do?

  • Plan concepts by studying relevant information and materials and collaborate with multiple teams on various materials, including web pages, presentations, sales & service collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and eblasts;
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design and consistent productions that comply with brand guidelines, corporate campaigns, and other relevant requirements;
  • Develop concepts by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout;
  • Manages the DAM system and the uploading process for all European MarCom Assets using a content management system;
  • Brief and instruct suppliers (e.g., outside agencies, art services, printers), negotiate prices, and purchase required products & services;
  • Illustrate concepts by designing examples and submitting them for approval;
  • Prepare finished art by operating necessary equipment and software;
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed;
  • Communicate with stakeholders about layout and design;
  • Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites;
  • Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary;
  • Act as subject matter expert/project manager toward CMSC, CMSE, CGCs, and partners;
  • Provides design assistance to CGCs and Partners when the possibility exists;
  • Create, update, and maintain QA procedures, work instructions, and forms and act in accordance
  • Brief and instruct suppliers (e.g., outside agencies, art services, printers), negotiate prices, and purchase required products & services.

What do you bring?

  • Education: MBO/HBO with a degree in (Graphic) Design, Fine Arts, and Marketing Communications;
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience and proven results in an (international) B2B environment;
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent planning and time & project management capabilities to work methodically and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Thorough understanding of design trends and development, marketing communications, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design;
  • Creative, convincing, enterprising personality and mindset with a hands-on attitude willing to think outside the box to spark further developments and improvements;
  • 3+ years of professional experience with (Adobe) design software, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.);
  • Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software;
  • Excellent (English) writing and communication skills, interpersonal skills, a keen eye for aesthetics and details, and the ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • A team player who is willing to work with various internal stakeholders.
  • Must be living in the Netherlands, ideally close to site.
