The role

As Senior Accounting Specialist, you coordinate the activities of the Accounting Department and ensure that financial data is recorded accurately and on time. You play an important role in financial reporting, audit and treasury activities, while also supporting the team in maintaining efficient accounting processes.

You report to the Director HQ Accounting and provide coordination to Accounting Specialists and General Accounting Administrators. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with coordination and process improvement tasks within an international environment.

What will you do?

• Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
• Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with statutory and corporate requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting, including preparation of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Provide financial explanations and reporting insights to management when required.
• Support treasury activities, including monitoring bank accounts, payments, foreign currency transactions and internal financing arrangements.
• Maintain accurate inventory administration and resolve discrepancies in cooperation with other departments.
• Oversee key accounting processes such as month-end closing, balance sheet specifications and fixed asset administration.
• Collaborate with external auditors and provide required documentation during audits and reporting processes.

What do you bring?

• HBO-level education in Business Economics, Accounting or a comparable field (SPD or equivalent).
• Extensive accounting experience within an international organization.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation and accounting principles.
• Experience with financial systems such as Oracle and Hyperion is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
