RK-F3m: Precision Refraction Made Possible

The RK-F3m is a full automated Ref-Keratometer which offers full options for reliable objective refraction and keratometry measurements. The measurement accuracy and extensive measurement modes make the device very suitable for use in optical stores as well as hospitals with a small footprint.

Fast & Accurate Objective Refraction

Experience precise, objective refraction in under 20 seconds with fully automated alignment, focus, and image capture. Even for smaller pupils (Ø 2.0mm), the RK-F3m ensures reliable measurement, optimizing subjective refraction assessments with confidence. Its compact design, 180° rotating, and 40° tiltable screen allow for effortless installation and a flexible workspace, adapting seamlessly to any environment.

Advanced Ocular Assessment for Greater Expertise

Enhance your expertise in contactology with automatic peripheral keratometry and white-to-white measurement, enabling precise corneal analysis for personalized patient prescriptions. With retro-illumination imaging, gain deeper insights into media opacity, ensuring comprehensive ocular evaluations.

Refraction Assessment in Real-Life Conditions

Understand visual variations across day and night light conditions with scotopic, mesopic, and photopic environment assessments. Evaluate monocular accommodation from infinity to 20 cm, helping patients grasp the natural evolution of accommodative capacity and night vision changes. With a holistic approach to refraction, better understand patient needs and guide them toward personalized solutions for optimal visual clarity.

Versatile placement, easy to use and fully automatic

The RK-F3m is equipped with a 90° panning and 40° tilting, 10.4 inch colorful LCD touchscreen with a simple one-key operation for automatic left/right eye shifting, focusing and measuring.

It is an extremely compact, fully automatic Ref-Keratometer which combines high speed, automation and precision for efficient non-invasive ophthalmic diagnosis.

It offers very versatile placement because of the very small footprint (720x500mm) and operation freedom due to its flexible large touchscreen penning and tilting abilities to fit any room.

Screen can be tilted up to 40°, so device can be used while seated or standing.

True versatility for every Eye Care professional

It allows operators to measure refraction under various light-conditions: scotopic, mesopic and photopic with automatic peripheral keratometry measurement offering precise measurement indications of 0.01 diopter, covering all aspects of patients’ vision needs by means of changing the brightness of the fixation target.

During the measurement both Refraction and Pupil-size are measured automatically whereby Scotopic Pupil Size (SPS) measurement can also be performed without any Refraction measurement, providing the eye care professional with extensive information to determine the right prescription. The device can even easily and accurately measure with small pupils (Ø 2.0mm) or IOLs.

Accurate measurements of Refraction and Keratometry

The Refraction measurements show outcomes of SPH, CYL & AX values, Spherical equivalent power (SE), Pupil Distance (PD & NPD), Residual Astigmatism Value (REST). The Keratometry measure show outcomes of R1, R2 & Axis values along with Peripheral measurement data, very helpful to enhance fitting the correct contact-lens.

Comprehensive measurement tools

Apart from solely refraction and keratometry measurements, the RK-F3m offers such features as;
  • Corneal white-to-white measurement (WTW) - important for the diagnosis of various ocular diseases, cataract and refractive surgery as well as contact-lens fitting
  • Retro illumination imaging - useful for identifying cataracts, vitreous opacity, scars and other serious eye problems.
  • Objective accommodation - measuring the capacity of the eye to focus on nearby objects
It encompasses overall ease-of-use with full automated measurement of accommodation power, measuring the accommodation range (ACM) from infinity to 20cm: 0~5 Diopter. The result for the ACM range are shown in a graph; the higher the graph, the stronger the accommodation.

Extensive Report Output Capability

Examples of Accommodation reports

Measurement results can be output as a file (.xml, JOIA format) or as report (jpeg), very suitable for sending information to your client-database or information-system.

Extensive connectivity

The device offers very extensive connectivity, equipped with several communication ports; RS-232C, USB and LAN connections even with the possibility to connect a barcode-reader, numerical keyboard or magnetic card-reader to input customer information.

A large 10.4 inch colour LCD touchscreen displays all values and graphs in a clear legible manner with the ability to print-out all data on thermal paper.
