9th EAPC Sports Cardiology Course

Meaningful innovation. Made possible.

The European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC), a branch of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), will host a course that provides an up-to-date and comprehensive approach to the evaluation of athletes with cardiovascular diseases, for physicians and allied health professionals with an interest in sports cardiology. Canon Medical is proud to be the platinum sponsor as part of our ongoing commitment to sports cardiology. During the event, we will demonstrate our multimodality solutions for sports cardiology including echocardiography and MRI.

Capturing the heart at work – State of the art quantitative exercise imaging

Why assess cardiac function in athletes at rest when you can do this during exercise? Our live stress echo examination will show you the possibilities to get better and more reliable answers. Seeing the heart at work using modern imaging tools like Wall Motion Tracking supported by AI provides you with the insights needed in elite and amateur athletes with suspected heart disease.

Program
  • 20 min live clinical demonstration of Stress Echography

Why should you attend?
  • Learn from the expert on how to perform a stress echo in athletes
  • Get familiar with in depth phenotyping during exercise
  • Learn how Speckle Tracking can differentiate between healthy remodeling and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in athletes
