March 2, 2026
Amstelveen, March 2, 2026 – Canon Medical Systems Europe will participate in the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2026 (Vienna, Austria | 4–8 March 2026), where it will share how it continues to translate clinical insights into meaningful innovation by pushing the boundaries of knowledge in radiology through technology, collaboration, and education.
Innovation at the Booth and Beyond
At the Canon Booth, Hall X3, visitors can discover Canon Medical’s latest solutions across CT, MR, Ultrasound, Diagnostic and Interventional X-ray, Healthcare IT, and Eye care. Marking 50 years of CT heritage since 1975, Canon is looking towards the future and introducing an Innovation Area at ECR 2026 – designed to support discussion, exploration, and clinical exchange – highlighting a strong vision for next-generation photon-counting CT (PCCT) and whole-body multi-position CT.
At the booth, visitors will also be able to discover the award-winning Aquilion ONE / INSIGHT Edition CT system, the Mobirex i9 / Smart Edition (a high-end mobile X-ray system with enhanced radiography support functions), and find a dedicated Lung Cancer Screening area for focused conversations on screening pathways and workflows.
Outside the venue, Canon’s Mobile Imaging Solutions (MIS) will be on display near the main entrance, highlighting flexible imaging capacity that can help support service continuity and access.
Education at Canon Medical Academy: Workshops and Symposia
Since education remains a central focus for Canon, at ECR 2026, the Canon Medical Academy will continue its peer-to-peer learning program. Attendees are invited to join more than 25 workshops led by experts from around the world, combining real clinical cases, practical tips, and interactive exchange.
The ECR attendees will also have the chance to join the two satellite symposia hosted by the Canon Medical Academy, including one co-organized with Bracco: “Advancing CEUS in Radiology: Clinical Innovations, Faster Pathways, Higher Efficiency” (Thursday, 5 March 2026, 14:30–15:30 | Room G2 – co-organized with Bracco) and “The Next Level of Diagnostic Quality in Photon Counting and Area Detector CT: AI, Spectral, and UHR” (Friday, 6 March 2026, 09:30–10:30 | Room N).
Focus on Innovation and Knowledge
Canon Medical and ECR 2026 share why clinical exchange and education matter for meaningful innovation.
René Degros, Vice President of Canon Medical Systems Europe, said: “Behind every image is a human story. True progress in Radiology happens when innovation meets education: when knowledge turns technology into better care for every patient.”
Prof. Minerva Becker, President of the ESR and the Congress President for ECR 2026, added: “ECR has long been a space where clinicians and industry can engage in meaningful dialogue focused on real clinical challenges. Close collaboration with companies such as Canon allows radiologists to directly inform the development of imaging technologies that support diagnostic confidence, workflow efficiency and patient-centred care. This exchange is essential for us, and more importantly our patients, in ensuring that innovation is clinically relevant and delivers tangible benefits in daily practice.”
