Green Procurement Standards
We promote Green Procurement based on "Canon Green Procurement Standards", and held an orientation meeting for all of our business partners to request replacement of existing parts and materials if a lower environmental impact can be achieved (in particular, we aim to reduce content of controlled chemical substances), as well as to encourage them to work hard on development of new parts and materials. To provide safer and more reliable products, we will further improve our relationship with our business partners and strive to reduce the burden on the environment using a wide range of methods, such as enhanced control of chemical substances throughout the entire supply chain, reduction of CO 2 emissions, and promotion of resource circulation.
