Presentation: The Future Is Spectral with Alphenix 4D CT

Since November 2023, CHU de Nîmes has integrated the Alphenix 4D CT system with spectral technology, marking a significant leap forward in interventional radiology. This presentation will explore how this cutting-edge technology is reshaping the field through its unparalleled capabilities.
Firstly, Prof. Frandon will discuss how 4D CT spectral technology enhances interventional radiology by introducing advanced biomarkers.
These innovations support a 3P approach – Personalized, Predictive, and Patient-Centered – ensuring that interventions are more precise and tailored to individual patient needs.

Additionally, the system offers reduced iodine doses while improving contrast resolution, leading to better visualization and guidance during procedures.

Next, the novel applications enabled by spectral imaging, such as iodine mapping in lymphography for malformation conditions, quantification of prostate embolization, and detection of neoangiogenesis in cancer, will be examined. These advancements offer new insights and improved accuracy in various clinical scenarios.

Finally, Prof. Frandon will explore future perspectives, including the integration of thermometry with CT imaging. This promising development has the potential to enhance real-time monitoring of temperature during interventions, further improving procedural outcomes and patient safety.

Presentation: Pushing the Boundaries in IR/IO Using Alphenix 4D CT

Dr. Bulent Arslan will discuss clinical case examples and show how intraprocedural CT scans, made possible by a hybrid angio-CT system, are used to support IR and IO procedures.
The combined CT and angiography in this novel multimodality imaging suite provides additional confidence in planning, navigation, optimal positioning and deployment, as well as intra-procedural and post-procedural evaluation, and may help perform more efficient and safer interventional procedures.
