Speaker: Prof. Hannes Gruber, MD, PhD Radiologist, Executive Senior Physician

Presentation: Ultrasound-Guided Minimally Invasive Surgery: Procedures Beyond Nerve Compression Releases

Ultrasound-guided surgery has become increasingly favored for certain types of "dissection surgery," where no reconstructive procedures are needed and no extended skin incision is required.
Beyond “hook-knife procedures” used for releasing peripheral nerve compressions, several other procedures involving a lancet knife can be performed solely under local anesthesia with stitched access.

This presentation will highlight “Trigger Finger Release and Release in DeQuervains Disease,” and pseudoresection of wrist ganglia, all conducted under real-time ultrasound guidance. Additionally, it will address the growing importance of precise and ultra-specific pain therapy using pulsed radiofrequency techniques.
