Prof. Fischer has worked in ultrasound clinical research for many years in close cooperation with other clinical disciplines, such as Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Urology, and Nephrology.
He has published over 130 scientific papers and is a popular international speaker at congresses, workshops, and webinars.
He has been working with Toshiba/Canon Ultrasound for more than 20 years and is deeply involved in the clinical evaluations of new developments from Canon Ultrasound Japan.
Dr. Katrien Gieraerts, MD Dr. Katrien Gieraerts is a radiologist at the Radiology Department of AZ Sint-Jan General Hospital in Bruges, Belgium.
She is an expert in mammography, ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided biopsies, including fusion-guided biopsies.
In close cooperation with the urologists, she focussed during the last years also on MRI-TRUS fusion-guided transperineal prostate biopsies.
