Marie-Pierre Revel is currently a full professor of radiology at Université de Paris Cité and Head of the Radiology department at Cochin Hospital, University of Paris, Paris, France. A former president and now an honorary member of the European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI), she also chairs the European Society of Radiology's Interdisciplinary Communication and Affairs Committee.
Her area of expertise concerns thoracic imaging, particularly in the field of thoracic oncology and thromboembolic diseases. With over 170 peer-reviewed articles and an impressive H-index of 40, she has pioneered a novel approach to lung nodule assessment, employing volumetry to estimate volume doubling time, a method now integral to European lung cancer screening studies.
Prof. Revel's influence extends to projects like SOLACE (Strengthening the Screening of Lung Cancer in Europe), which is focused on advancing lung cancer screening in Europe, particularly in her leadership role in screening for the female population.
In France, she advises the Institut du Cancer and contributes to the implementation of lung cancer screening, and she is the principal investigator of the CASCADE (Lung CAncer SCreening in French women using low-dose CT and Artificial intelligence for DEtection).
Yoshiharu Ohno, MD, PhD, is a Diagnostic Radiology Professor and Chairman at Fujita Health University School of Medicine. He was also appointed to Chairman of the Joint Research Laboratory of Advanced Medical Imaging at the same university.
He graduated from Kobe University School of Medicine in 1993, and finished postgraduate training at Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine in 1998.
He was promoted and appointed Professor of Radiology and General Manager of the Advanced Biomedical Imaging Research Center during 2011 and 2019. He moved from Kobe University to Fujita Health University as a Clinical Professor of Radiology and was promoted to the above-mentioned position.
He is an active board member of many societies, such as The Fleischner Society and the Asian Society of Thoracic Radiology. Prof. Ohno has published more than 40 book chapters, more than 270 peer-reviewed papers in English and Japanese, and more than 170 review papers in Japanese.
