Canon Opacity Suppression

Largely suppresses the effects of cataracts and other ocular opacities.

In general, when obtaining retinal images, ocular opacities will cause several problems: The scattering of the light will make the edges of the blood vessels appear blurred and the difference in brightness in the retina will be reduced, making it very difficult to distinguish between structures. And images obtained from a cataract eye tend to become more yellow.

Detection and adjustment of yellow color level

The Opacity Suppression of the RX software will detect any deviating yellow color level by determining the brightness and color of the retina. A special algorithm is used to adjust the color to be closer to a healthy eye.

Detection and adjustment of contrast level

In a cataract eye, due to the scattering of the light, the edges of blood become blurred and difference of brightness is reduced.
Canon Opacity Suppression will adjust the brightness and enhance the edges to make blood vessel appear much clearer.
